Roles and responsibilitiesThe Sales Manager will drive the Maintenance, Repairs and Operations (MRO) and Lifecycle Services sales of Pressure Management Business Unit. This includes proactive MRO sales of spare parts, replacement valves, quick ship products and LTSAs. This role is responsible to develop new business and expand our current service business through outcome based consultative selling approach
Leverages the local Sales channels and Service teams to identify and qualify opportunities, and drive the teams to convert opportunities into bookings
Meets or exceeds target orders
Works with the local Sales teams & partners to create a detailed business plan and forecast for Service business and proactive Lifecycle services programs
Ensures customer & sales channel awareness of product portfolio and Lifecycle Services offerings through customer visits, customer events and seminars
Conducts customer site walks and surveys and provides proposals for MRO business and product improvements
Promotes Lifecycle Services programs that solve customers Operational and reliability challenges
Works with the Services Teams and Factory/HQ to quantify value to be delivered to customers (ROI) and to quote services
Works with AP and in-country Operations team to develop local capabilities and product improvements
Works with the final control team, partners and end users to continuously improve and expand the scope of all existing services contracts to include LTSAs and customer pool programs
Reviews and provides input / feedback on service proposals to leverage quick ship capabilities.
Consults with customers to understand key operational certainty, system reliability and performance challenges.
Knowledge and Skills:
Engineering Degree with 10 years experience in technical sales preferably within the process industry.
Knowledge of valve industry preferably with experience in Regulators, PRVs and Tank safety. However candidates from Pump, Seals and Compressor back ground would be considered for exceptional candidates.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Selling and negotiation skills.
Familiar with basic business software applications.
Extensive work experience in MRO and Service sales working with end users
